What they wanted
For Newham College, improving the user journey and search functionality on their website was essential to enable propects to find the most relevent courses and drive course registration. The site needed to meet the needs of multiple audience groups: from 16-18 year old school leavers, to employers, parents and apprentices within the local community. The third challenge was content and storage capabilities. All the content on the existing site and from the course database had to be exported and augmented into the new CMS, bringing all the silos of content together for an improved user experience.
We delivered
We delivered a fully-responsive and intuitive website with enhanced search functionality to enable multiple audiences to find information easily. From relevant course infromation to work opportunities - all content is now searchable. An online chat facility is also now available which enables the user to receive answers to questions but also for the college to convert leads quickly.
User experience research
We conducted a series of user interviews with students and stakeholders to ensure the site requirements met audience needs and expectations.
A website desigend for multiple audiences
We designed a content structure and custom search functinoality to ensure that each audience group was able to search for the most relevant content.
Content migration and management
Preside CMS, Pixl8's content management system, provided custom functionality to provide a structure of content types to suit Newham's reuirements. Blending more structured content from their course management systems with richer web authored content.
